Why it is said that the invention of the electric bulb lit up the world itself ?

 

Before the invention of the electric bulb, people used candles or oil lamps, which were smoky and messy. 


Through the then invention of the light bulb is associated with Thomas Edison the fact that Thomas edition didn't invent it. Several designs of the light bulb had been created before.

 Sir Joseph Swan of England and Thomas Edison both invented the first electric incandescent lamp around the 1870s. by creating a vacuum inside the bulb, finding the right filament to use, they were able to achieve a light bulb that lasted for many hours.

Edisons invention was the most practical one. the edition also established a power gird system, which could generate electricity, and deliver it t home through a network of wires. he subsequently started the Edison Electric Light Company in October of 1878.

Halley's Comet Halley's Comet or Comet Halley , officially designated 1P/Halley , is a short-period comet visible from the earth every 75-76 years . Halley is the only known short-period comet that is regularly visible to the naked eye from the earth, and the only naked-eye comet that might appear twice in a human lifetime. Halley last appeared in the inner part in the solar system in 1986 and will next appear in mid-2061 to 2062 .  Halley's return to the inner solar system has been observed and recorded by the astronomers since 240BC . Clear records of the comet's appearance were made by Chinese, Babylonian and medieval European chronicles , but, at those times were not recognised as appearances of the same object. The comet's periodicity was first determined in 1705 by English astronomer Edmond Halley , after whom it is now named.

                 THE GUTENBERG BIBLE What is the importance of the printing of the Gutenberg Bible? The invention of Gutenberg printing press is considered to be one of the most important inventions of all time. In 1455,  Gutenberg demonstrated the power of the printing press by selling copies of a tow-volume Bible, known as  Gutenberg Bible. Each pages of the book has book had 42 lines. The paper was handmade, and each page contain a watermark. At first, 180 copies were made, most of them on paper, although some were printed on vellum, a kind of parchment. The printed Bible proved quite popular, and the stock was quickly sold out. The Gutenberg Bible was the first major book printed using mass produced movable type. This made it significantly cheaper than handwritten Bible. The Gutenberg Bible signalled the start of Gutenberg Revolution, which let to the age of the Printed Books.
