How did the contributions of Sir Isaac Newton change the world of science?


Sir Isaac Newton was a brilliant English scientist who was born in 17th century. he came up with numerous theories, and contributed ideas to many different fields including physics, mathematics, and philosophy.

This theory is completely revolutionised the world of science. One of his most famous theories is the law of universal gravitation. It describes the gravitational attraction between different bodies with mass like the Earth and the Moon.

Newton was known to have said that this theory of gravitation was inspired by watching an apple fall from a tree. He was formulated the three laws of motion that relate the forces acting on a body to its motion. One of his most famous publication is the 'Philosophy Naturalist Principia Mathematic,' or Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy. It proved to be groundbreaking, in that it laid the foundation for classical mechanics.

Newton was also the first one to build a reflecting telescope, to study the speed of sound, and to observe spectrum of colours through prism. The list of achievements of this legendary genius is truly awe-inspiring.

Halley's Comet Halley's Comet or Comet Halley , officially designated 1P/Halley , is a short-period comet visible from the earth every 75-76 years . Halley is the only known short-period comet that is regularly visible to the naked eye from the earth, and the only naked-eye comet that might appear twice in a human lifetime. Halley last appeared in the inner part in the solar system in 1986 and will next appear in mid-2061 to 2062 .  Halley's return to the inner solar system has been observed and recorded by the astronomers since 240BC . Clear records of the comet's appearance were made by Chinese, Babylonian and medieval European chronicles , but, at those times were not recognised as appearances of the same object. The comet's periodicity was first determined in 1705 by English astronomer Edmond Halley , after whom it is now named.

                 THE GUTENBERG BIBLE What is the importance of the printing of the Gutenberg Bible? The invention of Gutenberg printing press is considered to be one of the most important inventions of all time. In 1455,  Gutenberg demonstrated the power of the printing press by selling copies of a tow-volume Bible, known as  Gutenberg Bible. Each pages of the book has book had 42 lines. The paper was handmade, and each page contain a watermark. At first, 180 copies were made, most of them on paper, although some were printed on vellum, a kind of parchment. The printed Bible proved quite popular, and the stock was quickly sold out. The Gutenberg Bible was the first major book printed using mass produced movable type. This made it significantly cheaper than handwritten Bible. The Gutenberg Bible signalled the start of Gutenberg Revolution, which let to the age of the Printed Books.
